If you want information on becoming a Maryland Medical Cannabis patient, our staff can offer guidance, or you can visit the MCA’s website and follow these simple steps:
1
Register as a patient with the Maryland Cannabis Association (MCA)
Read the instructions and follow each step carefully. If approved, after approximately 10 days, you will receive a 16-digit MCA ID number. Keep that number safe.
2
Schedule an appointment with a registered provider
You can find a list of providers registered in the state here. Take your MCA ID number with you to see the provider. Ask about the provider’s fee before your appointment to be prepared.
3
Receive a written certification from your provider to purchase medical cannabis
Take the certification with you to your local dispensary. You also have the option to purchase an ID card through your MCA account once you have received the certification.
